Grandma Salsbury's Blackberry Cake Recipe |

4 eggs 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 3 cups all-purpose flour ¾ cup buttermilk 2 tsp baking soda 2 tsp cinnamon ½ tsp cloves 1 tsp nutmeg dash of all spice 2 cups of blackberries ½ tsp salt Cream egg yolks, butter and sugar. Add baking soda to buttermilk. Sift flour and spices, and salt together. Add a little at a time to cream mixture Add buttermilk and berries. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes
