Today, like 9,999 other people I received my cryptex from the Da Vinci Code Quest on Google.  The shipping box is pictured below, right before I opened it:

Inside was the box containing the cryptex:

This is a close-up of the cryptex box:

Here's the cryptex, out of the box, before I opened it:

The combo of the cryptex ("GRAIL"), popping open the container:

Here's the device opened, with the note inside:

Here's the note with the "Magic Address":

Now, like the others, I'm waiting for May 19 when I can take the final challenge and maybe win the prize!

An interesting side note, by the way, is that the combination lock on these replica cryptex devices doesn't actually pay any attention to the first three letters in the combination.  By turning the first 3 letter wheels to ANY combination of letters and changing the last two dials to "IL" my cryptex opens instantly.  I don't know if all the other cryptex devices are sensitive to only their last two digits, but I'm betting they are.

BTW, if you made it into the finals, you might want to stick a pin in this Frappr map to show others where you are: http://www.frappr.com/cryptex)
