If you've read an article here that you really enjoyed, disagree with, see an error or typo in, etc., you're welcome to provide me with feedback. General Article-Specific Feedback To provide feedback of the type "I liked this article" or "I didn't like this article", I'd prefer it if you used the "ratings" option at the top of each article's page. It looks like this:
To rate one of my blog articles, just click the button in the "Poor...Best" range that represents your opinion of that article and click the "Rate" button. You'll see your vote recorded in the "User Rating" graph. The "/0" in the above article refers to how many ratings that particular article has received. For example, if it showed a rating of 3 and a "/12" at the end, that means 12 people voted on that article and they gave it about an "average" rating. Corrections, Suggestions, and Other Types of Contacts If you want to submit a correction to an article, suggest an idea for a future article, etc., the best way to do this is to email me at the address provided in a graphic below. If you expect (or would like) a reply, please be sure to include your real email address and name in the message. (I do not retain mailing lists other than my spam blocking whitelist and site userlist. I would not sell such a list if I did someday decide to retain it.)

(The graphic above is designed with some noise in it to fool spammers' attempts to get the address through optical character recognition. In case it's a little too tough to read, the first four letters to the left of the "at" symbol are the same as the first four after it. And the whole bit after the "at" symbol is probably exactly the same as the domain name following "http://" in the following link: http://mikesalsbury.com.) Important Notes: The email address above is protected by a "Boxtrapper" anti-spam system and a spam filtering mechanism behind that. When you email me for the first time and I'm not expecting an email from you, you'll get a message back from the Boxtrapper system that you'll need to reply to. You don't have to say (or change) one word of the reply (in fact, don't). Then your email will come through to me and all your future emails will come through as well (unless I blacklist you as a spammer, which I have to do manually). To guard against that happening accidentally, I recommend using a subject line that starts with "**REAL**" so that I see it when I periodically review my Boxtrapper spam queue. Please know also that I don't check this address daily, so if you don't get a reply right away it doesn't mean I'm blowing you off. I may just not have been able to check email that day. Between the obligations of a full-time job, a family, a house, two cats, a car, this weblog, and a few friends, time is not always in abundance.
Incoming and Outgoing Links If you want to link to my site, you're welcome to do so. In fact, I'd be flattered. If you are linking to a specific article, make sure the URL you is one of the "permalinks" and not a link to the front page. To get to a permalink, just click the article's title and then use the URL you get for the page where only that article is shown. If you link to my site, I'd appreciate an email (see the email address in the graphic above) to let me know where the link appears.
If you'd like me to link to your site, use the email address provided above. If I like what I see on your site, or if I know you personally, I'll be happy to link to you. If I don't, I won't. Simple as that. News Media If you're with the mainstream media (TV, radio, newspaper, magazine, etc.) and want to contact me, use the instructions in the "Corrections, Suggestions, and Other Types of Contacts" section to get in touch. Unless your email gets swallowed up by my spam filter, you'll likely hear from me within a day or two. Advertising on the Site Currently I've chosen to align with two different advertisers, the Amazon.com Associates program and the Google AdSense program. If those provide any significant source of revenue that permit me to sustain the site without any out-of-pocket expenses, I'll consider others. If you think you have a product that will really be a hit with my readers, you're welcome to contact me and propose your idea and payment schedule. If I like what you have to say and agree it's a good fit, I'll at the very least consider it.
Donations for Bandwidth, Hosting, etc. There are lots of ways you can support this site. If you want to donate via PayPal to help pay for the hosting charges, domain name registration costs, etc., you can use the email address in the graphic above. If you'd rather donate "materials" rather than cash, you can do that most easily by clicking on one of the many "Amazon.com" links on the site, looking up my Wishlist, and ordering me something neat to be sent to me. Or if you have something else you want to give me (e.g., some cigars you have), email me and I may (if I'm comfortable with the situation) provide you with a mailing address. All kinds of items would be welcome, including polo shirts with your company logo, recent/current/new DVDs/CDs/games/books, good cigars, and pretty much anything you see me writing about here with any interest or amusement.
Link Exchanges, Webrings, etc. In the past, I haven't had the best success with link exchanges, webrings, etc. I've either gotten very little traffic from them or I've gotten complaints that the banners were distracting to visitors. I'm more interested in sharing my content than making money from this site (though I'd really like to see it paying for itself), but if you want to propose a link exchange or webring affiliation, I'm willing to listen. Just use the above information to learn how to contact me by email and make your pitch. If I like what you propose, I may get involved. If I don't, I won't. Anything Else If there's something else you want to contact me about, feel free to do so using the instructions above. If your email is, or looks like, spam, don't bother. Either my spam filter will get rid of it or I'll just ignore it.
